Collection Executive

A Collection Executive in an NBFC is responsible for recovering overdue loan payments (EMIs), managing delinquent accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical collection practices while maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Follow up with customers for overdue EMIs (Equated Monthly Installments) via calls, messages, and field visits
Handle soft bucket (0–30 days) and hard bucket (30+ days) delinquent accounts
Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or restructuring options
Update daily collection activity in CRM or collection systems
Coordinate with credit and operations teams for dispute resolution
Track and reduce Non-Performing Assets (NPAs)
Ensure adherence to Reserve Bank of India guidelines and fair collection practices
Handle escalations and maintain proper documentation of recovery efforts
Achieve monthly recovery targets and minimize delinquency rates

Requirements

Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Good communication
- Ability to handle difficult customers professionally
- Knowledge of various loan products (personal loans, business loans, vehicle loans, etc.)
- Basic understanding of legal recovery processes
- Fieldwork readiness and target-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Graduate (B. Com, BBA, or equivalent preferred)
- 1–4 years of experience in collections, preferably in NBFC, banking, or fintech
- Freshers may be considered for junior roles
